Savannah is the oldest city for the state of Georgia in US. As you might know, Savannah has a very famous and old riverside boardwalk where all the shop and tourist will visit first. During my stay here, I chose to stay at Hyatt Regency Savannah which is located right at the Riverfront Plaza. The great thing about this hotel is the strategic location and definitely the view from the comfort of your room.
Just below the building, there is a streetcar to help you navigate along the riverside. It makes several stops along the riverside street and one of the stop is just in front of the ground floor of Hyatt Regency Savannah Hotel building. The interior of the hotel also can be one of the thing to enjoy too, with the very comfortable and big Lobby sitting area, one can just sit here and enjoy the atmosphere if the weather is not suitable to venture out.

Start with walking along the riverfront is a great idea, since most of the attraction is located at this area. There are lots of stores selling gifts, the famous candy stores, cafe, restaurants and also there is an area where you can buy product by local artist. If you are not doing any shopping, this is also a great place to enjoy the old architecture building which still the same as the first time they built. Don’t miss the Riverboat cruise along the river and know more about the city.

One of the most enjoying thing while staying around here is one can enjoy a great and beautiful sunset with the Talmadge Memorial Bridge as the foreground which connected Savannah and Hutchinson Island to add to the whole experience. After that you can just pick any restaurant around the area to have your dinner. The area at night is very happening and lively with Live music and club. Or you can always join the Night Dining Cruise with Georgia Queen Boat. There are lots of activity while boarding this cruise tour such as live music and of course dining on the boat.
If you are one of the more adventurous type, you can always join the vast selection of Ghost Tour around the town old building which start 8PM & 10PM involving real stories of people and ghost. As for the early riser, you can also spot the best sunrise from this area of the city. Or you can just view from your room at Hyatt Regency Savannah.
The great thing about Savannah city is the setup of the city which maintain their originality from the first time they was built. All the houses was still the same as the old days but with a great care and maintenance. There are lots of old Oak tree spanning all over the streets. The great number of Park and public square also add the green feel of this city. Start your way from the City Hall and walk along Bull street, you will come across many public square with place to sit for you to relax or just enjoy the environment. If you are tired with walking you can always take the horse and carriage to get around the downtown.

To add to the many public square spread out throughout the city, the most famous is Forsyth Park. This is the park where many locals and tourist love to sit and enjoy the many shades area by the Oak Tree and Spanish Moss. There is a beautiful fountain inside the park. There are many bed and breakfast or hotels around this park too (One of them is the beautiful Mansion on Forsyth Park by Marriott), you can just stay around this park and enjoy people watching or just join in any activity around it.
