As you may know that, I have done couple of photo sessions for JW Marriott hotel Medan in the past (Here and Here) and they are very happy with the results, so they decided to contact me again to do another photo session. This purpose of this session is to promote their new Business Room type and Meeting packages promotion.

The concept of this session will be everything related to business activity with the hotel area as the backdrop such as meeting room, the room, reception area. Using the hotel as the element to show the whole process of business people while staying at the hotel and the benefits they will get during their stay. We started with the Check-in process, this part is kind of tricky considering the huge amount of hotel guest doing check-in and check-out and it was impossible to ask the guest to wait for us to take the photo. So, we decided to use one side of the check-in desk and left another side for the guest to use so that the session didn’t actually halt any of the business the hotel will get. I think we’ve done great with this part, and here is the photo from the check-in part.

Check-in

The guest Checking at the reception area.

The next photo location will be the meeting room located at the 16th floor (Executive Lounge). Since the meeting room has huge glass window, I decided to just use this window natural light as my main source of light. I took several pose for the model in the meeting room and also the full setup of the meeting room that the guest might expected when they decided to use or book this room. It was no surprise that the meeting room was setup so neat but I just want to add my praise to the team. And of course, the model too, they are of course not professional model, but these are the kind of people that I’m more than happy to work with, since they are very natural and professional.

The last part is the new Business Room. This room was introduced to cater for business person that might stay at the hotel. The room comes with several complimentary Business services (For more information, please contact them). I did several still-life shoot to show the business element inside the room and also using the model as business woman staying at the hotel and use the room as her room-office.

This session is a bit different from what I have done before for them. But, overall this was another fun session with a lot more human interaction and human factor instead of just food or objects.

Please stay tuned for my next photo session or my next trip stories. Hope you enjoy it!
