The first thing pop up in their head when people think about Bromo would be volcanoes. You will find many photos from many travelers visiting this national park to catch the sunrise from Penanjakan viewpoint. But, in this opportunity I would like to share my experience viewing Bromo from the other less known point of view called B29. The name came from the position of this point of view, since this is one of the highest elevation around 2900 meter above sea level (Compare to Penanjakan only around 2300m). The best way to arrive here is taking the road from Lumajang City. Since this is still a new destination, the infrastructure is still very minimal. You need to drive up to the nearby village of Argosari, parked the car and rent the ‘Ojek’ motorcycle passing long winded road to be at the top of B29.
I was lucky to have clear sky. I arrived early in the morning and able to capture some Milky Way.
