Everyone definitely heard about Borobudur Temple if they talk about Indonesia. But, little know that there are many more significant temples spread across Java and Sumatra island which emerge right after Borobudur and Prambanan Temples. (You can check out my previous story about Borobudur and Prambanan Temple HERE and HERE.

I will start by showing several temple/candi around the Central Java. From Mendut, Pawon, Sewu, and Arjuna Temples.

Then, we move on to the Eastern Java which starting from the temple around Singhasari/Singosari Kingdom era. Most of the temple during this era was constructed with white Andesite stone. Most of the temple during this time use to honor the King who ever ruled during the whole Kingdom era. The structure of the temples in this era was influenced by Hindu.

Right after Singosari Kingdom, the famous Majapahit Kingdom arise. The temples around this area was made with the signature red brick.
